Borderline Personality Disorder Symptoms

The main trait of borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a pervasive pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image and emotions. This instable pattern of interacting with others often has destructive implications on the family, the parents and the children in particular; and on partners in marriages or other love relationships (i.e., lesbian, gay, heterosexual).

Borderline personality disorder is also known as Emotional Regulation Disorder (ERD), Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung (BPS), Borderline Persoonlijkheidsstoornis, trastorno l’mite de la personalidad (TLP), or dérégulation émotionnelle.
