Reinstatement after Suspension/Timeout
If you were suspended or if you asked to take a timeout from posting and would now like to have your membership reinstated, please fill out the form below. The purpose of the reinstatement process is to see if the member and the staff can get on that same page and work together harmoniously going forward - put any past matters to rest and move on in a fashion that is best for the community as a whole.
Before applying fo rreinstatement, we do ask that you wait until a "cooling period" has expired before applying for reinstatement. If one has not be stated, please wait at least 72 hours after the suspension/timeout took place.
Requests for reinstatement are reviewed in a hearing attended by the entire staff. Matter are reviewed in great detail. We take reinstatement very seriously and aim to have a detailed and open discussion. The process can take as long as a 10 days. The information you supply on the form and your honesty and self-awareness will weigh very heavily in the staff review, so please be complete in your responses. The staff will also look at prior communications and your prior participation in the community. Suspensions are not punishment - they are intended to create the space necessary to resolve matters.
